Key Features

Learn by Watching Real Content

Lingopie takes a different approach from traditional language-learning apps.

Instead of spending all your time completing isolated exercises, you can learn from authentic entertainment featuring native speakers.

This exposes you to:

• Natural pronunciation
• Real conversations
• Slang
• Expressions
• Sentence structure
• Different accents
• Everyday vocabulary
• Cultural context

Dual Interactive Subtitles

One of Lingopie's biggest features is its dual subtitle system.

Watch content with both your target language and a translation displayed together.

This makes it easier to understand dialogue while gradually becoming less dependent on your native-language subtitles.

Click Any Word for Translation

See a word you don't understand?

Simply click or select it.

Lingopie can display:

• Instant translation
• Word meaning
• Context
• Relevant language information

Words you interact with can also become part of your learning vocabulary for later review.

Vocabulary Builder

Instead of forgetting new words after an episode finishes, Lingopie helps turn them into study material.

Save vocabulary while watching and review it later through:

• Flashcards
• Quizzes
• Vocabulary activities
• Context from the original scene

This connects memorization with the actual situation where you discovered the word.

Grammar Coach

Lingopie's Grammar Coach helps explain how language is being used inside real conversations.

Its grammar tools can provide contextual information about:

• Verbs
• Nouns
• Adjectives
• Sentence structure
• Conjugation
• Parts of speech
• Grammar patterns

This allows you to learn grammar while seeing it used naturally instead of studying rules completely out of context.

Pronunciation Practice

Lingopie includes speaking and pronunciation tools designed to help you practice what you hear.

With Say It!, you can repeat a line from the content and record yourself speaking.

Lingopie can then provide pronunciation feedback and a score.

This is useful for improving:

• Accent
• Pronunciation
• Speaking confidence
• Listening comprehension
• Sentence rhythm

Listen & Repeat

Replay difficult words or phrases until you can understand and pronounce them comfortably.

Lingopie also provides auto-loop functionality, allowing selected dialogue to repeat automatically for additional practice.

Adjustable Playback Speed

Native speakers can sometimes speak much faster than language learners are used to.

Lingopie allows supported videos to be slowed down, helping you:

• Hear individual words
• Understand fast dialogue
• Practice pronunciation
• Follow difficult conversations

Increase the playback speed again as your comprehension improves.

15+ Supported Languages

Lingopie currently provides a broad multilingual learning catalog.

Available languages can include:

• Spanish
• French
• German
• Italian
• Portuguese
• Japanese
• Korean
• Chinese
• Russian
• Turkish
• Dutch
• Greek
• Polish
• Hebrew
• English

Lingopie continues to update its supported-language catalog.

Language access depends on the subscription term supplied with your order.

Yearly and Lifetime plans currently provide access to all supported languages, while shorter subscription options can have different language-access conditions.

Learn Multiple Languages

With an eligible multi-language subscription such as Lingopie's Yearly plan, you can switch between supported languages.

For example, you could practice:

Spanish → French → German → Korean → Japanese

without purchasing an entirely separate learning platform for every language.

Lingopie Browser Extension

Lingopie also provides a browser extension that brings its interactive learning functionality to supported online video content.

Features can include:

• Dual subtitles
• Clickable translations
• Vocabulary saving
• Grammar assistance
• Learning-progress tracking

This allows you to extend your Lingopie learning experience beyond the platform's native content catalog where supported.

Third-party streaming subscriptions are not included with Lingopie.

Smart TV Support

Lingopie isn't limited to your computer.

Its TV application currently supports platforms including:

• Google TV

Learning progress can sync between supported devices.

Start watching on your TV and continue reviewing vocabulary on your phone or computer.

Mobile Access

• iPhone
• iPad

Your supported account can synchronize learning activity between web, mobile and TV platforms.

Progress Tracking

Lingopie helps track your learning activity over time.

Depending on current features, this can include information such as:

This makes it easier to see how much time you're spending immersed in your target language.
